Once a notorious red light district, Nyhavn quay still has the odd tattoo parlor but has been cleaned up into one of Copenhagen's top tourist destinations. In summer months its restaurants and bars spill out onto the sidewalk, and passengers wait to board a sightseeing canal boat by the anchor. Adjacent Kongens Nytorv Square, meanwhile, is one of Copenhagen's busiest intersections.
