6 Harbor Docks
Photos of proud fishermen bearing their catches cover the walls of this rustic establishment. Famous for its fresh seafood, Harbor Docks has several venues, including two hibachi tables, two bars and an upper deck. Entrees feature fried crab cakes, marinated yellowfin tuna and a seafood platter with the catch of the day and a variety of shellfish. All of these come with a salad and rice or potato. A substantial sushi menu offers sashimi, nigiri and maki selections, too. In the evenings, the deck is a popular destination for those who come to hear live bands play. As you might expect, the views from inside and outside are amazing. (850-837-2506)

5 Buster's Oyster Bar & Grill
Frequented by locals, this casual place is a favorite destination for watching the big game. Sixteen TVs, including two big screens, bring the event to you, and everyone takes part in the festivities. The menu leans heavily towards seafood, which can be prepared in a number of ways, including steaming or broiling. Steaks, sandwiches and hamburgers are available too, along with a children's menu. Buster's is also known for "oystermania," a happy hour event where you can get good deals on oysters by the dozen. Along with drink specials, it pulls in eager crowds who can't get enough of the delicacy. Look for it daily from 5pm-6pm. (850-837-4399)

4 Picolo Restaurant & The Red Bar
Legendary in the area, this restaurant's decor is part beach shack, part thrift store and part retro club. Walls and ceilings are papered with posters and funky mirrors, and the place has a laid-back, devil-may-care attitude. Since the restaurant gets crowded quickly, going early is a smart strategy. The menu isn't extensive but the few entrees (pastas and seafood) are well-received, especially the famous crab cakes, which disappear fast and are only available on Friday and Saturday. Reservations and credit cards aren't accepted, and they don't split checks either, so be prepared beforehand. Mostly, though, just enjoy the boisterous atmosphere. No one stands on formalities, and you shouldn't either. (850-231-1008)

3 Another Broken Egg Café
Full of good smells, this tastefully decorated eatery serves breakfast all day, and the menu is heavy with incredible dishes. "Scramblers" mix eggs with all sorts of tasty ingredients; omelets come stuffed with everthing from crawfish to avocado; and pancakes range from apple cinnamon to blueberry pecan. You'll also find bananas Foster French toast, eggs Benedict and huevos rancheros. If you're in the mood for something light, try the fruit plate, a bowl of oatmeal, or a parfait glass of yogurt, fruit and granola. Any way you want it, breakfast is served! Sandwiches, burgers and a kids' menu, too. (850-650-0499)
