Sometimes a posh hotel offering lots of amenities is just what the doctor ordered for a getaway. But most often, travelers spend more time exploring where they are than hanging out in their hotel rooms.

If that is you, then you might agree that it doesn’t always makes sense to spend great amounts on a room you are only using to shower and slumber in. Save the money and spend it on exploring the community, shopping and dining at local restaurants.

There are lots of great, affordable options with desirable locations all over the Fort Myers area---even at the beaches. Take for instance the Seaside Inn on Sanibel, one of the islands oldest hotels. It has been remodeled and sits right on the sand, offering fantastic sunset views and free bike rentals for island adventures.
