About Maximo Gomez Park: Also known as Domino Park, Maximo Gomez Park is situated right in Little Havana, and is a popular hangout with area residents. Named after a general in the Cuban Liberating Army of the late 1800s, the park is a festive and busy gathering place, where the locals meet to chat and play endless games of dominoes. Indeed, the park was built for just this purpose, with numerous permanent domino tables throughout.
