Vegetarian: Warm and inviting, this Indian restaurant is known for its lamb specialties and its tandoori. Sure, the location is a little south of the beaches, far down in the village of Pinecrest, but a good kofta curry is certainly worth the gasoline investment. If you enjoy the traditional Indian buffet, head here for lunch; if a la carte is more your thing, make a reservation for dinner. Start with a selection of naan, roti and paratha--you can even customize your own. Some less-common dishes to try include a whole snapper tandoor, paneer pilaf (with cubes of cottage cheese) and falooda ice cream (flavored with rose syrup and topped with corn flour vermicelli). In fact, there's generally a wonderful assortment of desserts, including gajjar halwa, the classic Punjabi pudding made with shredded carrots, cashews and raisins.
