About Naples, FL Restaurants
Like its Italian namesake, Naples boasts some of the best restaurants in Southwest Florida. Likewise, it's heavy on Italian restaurants, but also on seafood houses that capitalize on the coast's fresh catches.
Downtown's culinary scene is lively with sidewalk cafes, bistros, and live entertainment. This Old Naples, where the city was born in the late 1800s. Some of the restaurants reside in historic digs, others slump seaside with salty character. Resorts and shopping centers also harbor some of the city's best eats.
On Naples' outskirts, the wilderness known as the Florida Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands influences menus with fried frog legs, mullet, catfish, fried alligator, grouper, stone crab, and other local catches. That's the beauty of the Naples' area dining - minutes apart lie funky Florida fish houses and Ritz-Carlton dining rooms.
