From Fancy to Quirky: 10 Best Places to Shop in Melbourne, Florida

Melbourne, Fla., has an impressive variety of shopping options for such a laid back, beachy community. In fact, it is one of our favorite places to go shopping on the Space Coast, whether we are looking for souvenirs, practical beach gear, a fancy gown, that perfect gift or just a place to cool off from the humid Florida heat.

Our top place to score unique finds (in a fun atmosphere) is downtown Melbourne. Stroll through the palm-lined streets and browse crafts, antiques, consigned clothes, art and other only-in-Florida goodies – perfect if you're looking for a memento of your trip to the Space Coast.

For the more practical shopper, the Flop Shop is a specialty shoe store that sells quality sandals, flip-flops and other Florida-appropriate footwear. The multiple malls in Melbourne are also popular places for your favorite chain stores. And after shopping, you can relax in the cool IMAX theater or let your kids go loose in the play area.

Although the malls are a hot shopping spot, it's the local shops that really win our hearts. Cigar-lovers can indulge with a beer at the Executive Cigar Shop and Lounge. Or get a taste of the UK at Julie's British Shoppe.

Here are our favorite 10 places to shop in Melbourne.
