The 130-room Aloft Tampa, owned by Starwood Hotels, was developed by Tampa’s Liberty Group, who was responsible for transforming the former office building into an edgy, urban oasis.
Open less than a year, this urban, upscale accommodation is quickly becoming a favorite among the young and trendy.

As you arrive at Aloft Tampa, you'll first be struck by the sleek, open lobby space. The check-in process is high-tech, offering streamlined and convenient service to get you to your room in record time.
Other main-floor spaces include a lounge area for guests to rest, read, catch up on email or just relax. A pool table is on hand, if you’d like to take on any challengers.
There are a range of seating groups and options to suit individual or group activities. There's no restaurant on-site, but there is a Grab & Go Gourmet station for coffee and snacks.
The main floor also hosts the ultra-chic WXYZ Bar, which serves a variety of cocktails and local brews till the wee hours of the morning. The bar also features themed nights, DJs and live music performances most weekends.
Just off the bar is "The Backyard," consisting of an infinity-edge splash pool, lounge seating and a firepit overlooking the Riverwalk, the Hillsborough River and the iconic minarets of the University of Tampa.

Rooms featuring these same scenic views of the river are available, as are rooms with city views; however, there are some rooms facing the building next door. So if you have a preference, make sure you specify at reservation.
A few of the rooms on the top floor also feature large balconies, the perfect spot to catch some rays or entertain friends.
There are six different room types at Aloft Tampa, all featuring tall ceilings; clean, modern décor; and large windows that contribute to a light, airy feeling. Modern conveniences include free Wi-Fi, plenty of outlets to plug into and 42-inch flat-screen TVs.
Perhaps the most important room amenities, however, are the comfy down beds and rainforest showers.
Business travelers will appreciate the free Wi-Fi throughout the property and the convenient full-service computer stations. Get in shape for the day ahead at the full-service fitness center, with lovely views overlooking the river. And the property's high-tech meeting room can accommodate 25 to 30 people.
The location can’t be beat, and it's perfect for both business and leisure travelers, offering easy access to downtown businesses, the Tampa Riverwalk, Curtis Hixon Park, the Tampa Convention Center and Amalie Arena.
Most downtown attractions are within easy walking distance, but there's also trolley service to Tampa’s historic entertainment district, Ybor City, just down the street. Aloft Tampa itself offers valet parking, and overnight parking will set you back $20.
