When you’re on a gluten free diet, these wheat-filled treats are usually a no-no. Luckily, many of Tampa’s established and up-and-coming bakeries and markets are offering gluten free alternatives.
After pounding the pavement, 10 Best has come up with a list of the top ten spots to find those elusive gluten free goodies. Many of these shops are focused on providing natural and organic foods, and so are also good spots to find all types of allergy free products as well as vegan options.
Located in New Tampa is Stacy’s Gluten Free Goodies. This innovative bakery makes nothing but allergy free baked goods, from cookies to pizza crusts. The vision of a mother with a son who has food allergies, this addition to Tampa’s food scene offers all families allergy free goodies. Another great option is the well-known and established Sami’s Bakery located in Temple Terrace that offers a full range of healthy baked goods.
Other options include several of Tampa’s local organic and health food markets. These are greats place to find gluten free baked goods as well as a many other gluten free food items. The best news is that almost all of these locations also offer a café menu so you can enjoy a gluten free bite to eat while you’re there.
Sweet Tweets Cakery
Sweet Tweets Cakery is an award-winning bakery specializing in custom cake creations. Located in the Carrollwood neighborhood, north of downtown Tampa, Sweet Tweets is owned by a local couple who in 2011 decided to turn their passion into a prosperous business. The result is delicious! While most of their cakes and cupcakes are made to order, they also sell a wide variety of gourmet cupcakes from their display case daily. Le Mouton Noir Bakehouse
Located in the Channelside neighborhood, close to downtown and the Port of Tampa, is the Le Mouton Noir Bakehouse. This locally-owned bakery specializes in artisan breads and pastries made fresh daily using high-quality and locally-sourced ingredients. Their menu features everyday staples such as baguettes and croissants, as well as a variety of daily specials and seasonal products. Gigi's Cupcakes - Carrollwood
Located in the Carrollwood neighborhood of Tampa, just north of the downtown area, Gigi's is a little slice of cupcake heaven. With mouth-watering choices such as chocolate chip cookie dough, hunka chunka banana love, and midnight magic, these mini cakes are as beautiful to look at as they are to taste. Piled high with multi-colored frostings and sprinkles and little cupcake accessories, they are mini works of art. Their selection is large and changes daily. Abby's Health Food - Cafe Eden

Stacy's Gluten Free Goodies
Stacy's Gluten Free Goodies was inspired by Stacy's son whose developmental delays were reversed simply by changing his diet. This gave birth to Stacy's wish to help other moms provide their kids with allergen-free baked goods that were delicious as well as safe for them to eat. All of Stacy's goodies are made with no soy, no gluten, no wheat, no dairy, no eggs, no nuts and are all vegan.
