You could say that it's worth coming here for lunch just for the ambiance and the setting. But not to highlight Chef Thierry Vaissire's cuisine would be doing him and yourself an injustice. This is one of those places, hidden in plain sight just there in Saint-Germain-des-Prs, where there's nothing not to like about it. It's also one of those places where you have to first know it's there as you will never notice it as you pass by. You mightn't even glimpse it even were you to enter into the museum in which it is housed. Hidden? Perhaps. Tucked away? Most definitely. The cuisine here is gastronomic and can feature main choices such as roasted monkfish, veal sweetmeants (a French favorite) with such things as sea bream and a duck foie gras served on a sundae of rhubarb for starters. The lunch menu is a deal here.
- Lunch: "The prettiest garden-facing dining room near the Muse d'Orsay, this restaurant, housed within the museum devoted to Latin American art and culture is worth seeking out. There is also a bistro inside and now even a bar, but don't confuse either with this very elegant and welcoming haute-cuisine restaurant."
- Best for Lunch Because: Around the corner from the Assemblée Nationale and also just down the street from the Musée d'Orsay, this restaurant attracts a tasteful clientele.
