  • Best Restaurants: "The restaurant's name Le 1728 is reference not only to the date this former mansion and home to Madame Pompadour was built, it's also a veiled reference to architect Mazin's preoccupation with the mathematical equation for the perfect proportions of the golden ratio: 12x12x12=1728. Upon his return from America, the Marquis de La Fayette resided here. You can privatise his former offices in the upstairs salon for dinners and small receptions."
  • Recommended as Best Restaurants Because: It's not often you get to enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner in the former residence two great historical figures: Madame Pompadour and La Fayette.
