This Mandir, or Hindu place of worship, serves as a center for cultural and social activities. The building is constructed of three types of stone - Turkish limestone, Italian marble and Indian pink sandstone.

Stemming from the Hindu belief that there can be unity in diversity, BAPS values living in harmony with others. Worshippers and visitors of all cultures, beliefs and genders are welcomed with warmth and respect at all BAPS Mandirs. However, visitors must make sure their shoulders and knees are covered at all times.
Besides being a big draw for those seeking spiritual peace and as an architectural attraction, this Hindu temple also serves as a social connection for the Indian community in Atlanta. There are big celebrations for Diwali as well as Gujarati classes to keep youths aware of their culture.
The Mandir is open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. However, there are several sacred shrines that are only open certain hours of the day. Even further, there are some celebrations that require men and women to sit in separate areas. Any visitors should check with staff to see if their visit coincides with one of these celebrations.
BAPS is encouraging and welcoming of all different cultures and beliefs. The awe of the structure from the outside will amaze you and the peaceful harmony that overcomes you when inside will surprise you.
