Museums: The Imagine It! Children's Museum encourages children's curiosity and helps them learn through discovery. Imagine It! Children's Museum has storytelling, skits, and areas where younger children can romp, explore and play. They learn about sounds, by playing musical instruments and are introduced to creatures who live in the water. They sharpen observation skills, by looking for various animals in the Leaping into Learning exhibit. On Sundays, families can visit the museum and participate in the "Eat a Georgia Rainbow" exhibit which focuses on fruits and vegetables grown in Georgia. In that and in other exhibits, parents can give children a richer experience by using some of the supplementary information related to what they learn at the museum.
Things to Do with Kids: There are countless attractions for kids in town, but Imagine It! is the city's only children's museum. Here, engaging hands-on exhibits let little ones learn and play at the same time. The permanent collection includes Fundamentally Food, where kids can experience life on a farm first-hand, and Leaping Into Learning, an interactive forest with a waterfall. There's even a specific toddler zone, and special traveling exhibits are hosted throughout the year.
