Occupying a converted bungalow in the historic Highlands area, the dining room is pure Country French. One of the best things about brunch at Babette's Café's brunch is the drinks. The Bloody Mary's are quite glorious, probably due to the fact that they make just about all the ingredients in house. Although it is a popular brunch spot, the non-brunch dishes far outweigh the conventional ones. Stick to items like chowder and shrimp and grits over pancakes and omelets. However, the Babette's Benedict is a standout with perfectly poached eggs and a sun-dried tomato hollandaise. If you don't want to valet, there is a pay lot across the street.
Best for French Because: Not only is the dinner good, but they also do a fabulous brunch.
