Late Night: One of Savannah's original sushi restaurants, Sushi Zen has been a favorite among locals since it opened its doors in 1999. The Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard location, which opened in 2009, features three floors with both regular tables and traditional floor seating. The eatery's lunch menu features Japanese staples such as ramen noodle soup and donburi rice bowls; however, despite the restaurant's name, sushi is not available on the menu. If you're willing to wait a few hours until dinnertime, it's worth checking out the sushi, which includes nigiri, traditional rolls such as California rolls and spicy tuna rolls, and unique choices like the Green Mussel Roll with spicy fried green mussels, scallions and masago. The dinner menu also includes several appetizers, teriyaki, tempura and noodles dishes.
