Other Recommended Restaurants: Tucked away in an office complex on Mall Boulevard, Taste of India features a lush décor with large-scale artwork, beautiful carved furniture and all of the accouterments (think lots of jingly bells and beaded tassels) you'd expect from an Indian restaurant. But it's the impeccable Northern Indian cuisine that's been drawing a steady crowd of locals to this Southside restaurant for the past decade. Taste of India's large menu features a number of appetizers, including vegetable or chicken samosa, chili and aloo pakoras, and bhel puri, along with traditional Indian accompaniments such as raita and pappadams. The extensive entree list includes several dishes from the tandoor, a long list of vegetarian favorites and plenty of chicken, lamb, goat and seafood. Standout choices include the aloo gobi, navratan korma, lamb Patiala and hariyali chicken tikka. A lunch buffet is available during the week for those interested in trying a little bit of everything.
