The well-known Greek brand in beauty products - Apivita - recently opened a new store in Athens, in an impressive five-story building in the neighborhood Kolonaki. Apivita Experience Store is inspired by the social organization of bees and Greek nature, and is dedicated to a holistic approach to health and beauty.
After an international career of 35 years, Apivita opened this avant garde store where visitors can live a unique, personal experience. The neoclassical building was renovated and architecturally designed by architect Irini Bourlou, and the space expresses the unique philosophy, values and inspiration of Apivita.
On the five floors, clients can experience the power of nature, the secrets of bees, the rich Greek flora and holistic beauty treatments. The space is artistically decorated with sculptures by Nikos Papoutsides, inspired by the world of Apivita and its symbols. Apivita Experience Store — Photo courtesy of Apivita
On the ground floor, a large table made from open bee hives forms the central focus - an example of traditional Greek hospitality which always offers visitors a cup of warm tea with honey and an impressive olive tree, a sculpture by Konstantinos Valais (symbolizing wisdom, knowledge and Greek nature).
At Apivita Experience Store, the products are the protagonists, presented with a special aesthetic that combines traditional motifs with specially designed metal constructions in industrial style. The well-known Greek designer Yorgos Eleftheriades created the personnel's uniforms, transforming Apivita's values of beauty, both inner and outer, into simple, elegant and practical clothes.
On the first floor, the Natural Pharmacy is installed, where - with the help of a specialized pharmacist - you can create your own personal beauty products, based on the pharmaceutical past of Apivita. Here, you can also discover Apigea honey and the herbs of Apivita Farm, which contain the long apicultural knowledge and experience of Nikos Koutsianas, as well as his passion for elevating the precious apicultural products of Greece.
Next comes Juicy Bee, the first organic Juice Bar in Greece with original, fresh and healthy drinks for energy and well-being. Sofia Koutsiana - vice president of Apivita, health coach and yoga teacher - presents a holistic approach to health, beauty and detox.
The second floor is dedicated to knowledge. Hippocrates Hall is a reference point for knowledge on Greek nature and the society of bees, and also will host exhibitions, discussions and presentations.
The third floor hosts the Nature's Hair Studio and Barber Shop, the first green hairdressers salon in Athens, with the most developed natural products for hair, organic dyes, advice from specialized personnel and traditional barber service.
The last floor hosts the Beehive Spa, with an impressive decor inspired from a beehive, where 13 different Hippocratic treatments are offered, for rejuvenating body and soul.
