New Taste warms up to winter in downtown Athens with a revitalized, all-day menu. Located at New Hotel, the restaurant enriches its menu with dishes that make unique combinations of carefully selected ingredients and various Mediterranean influences.
Every moment of the day is ideal for enjoying delicious, creative cuisine at New Taste. The restaurant promises an unforgettable experience for the winter - from morning to evening - with new and all-time favorite tastes on its seasonal menu.
Recent imaginative additions include pumpkin soup with orange and saffron from Kozani; scallop tartare with ginger, mirin, wakame and coriander vinaigrette; mixed green salad with beetroots, goat cheese and dried figs; finely cut pasta with cuttle fish ink and sauteed crawfish; saltimbocca salmon with prosciutto and sage; and braised veal in red wine, served alongside polenta and gremolata.
In general, New Taste's menu features a large variety of light dishes, salads, pasta, fish and meat. Highlights are jamón ibérico with tomato bruschetta; carpaccio of the day; roasted bone marrow with capers, parsley and toasted bread; laxmatzoun with lamb's meat, coriander and pine kernels; pork chops marinated with mustard and honey and served with feta cheese and fried potatoes; and rib-eye steak with French fries and maitre d'hotel butter.

For fish lovers, the restaurant offers grilled squid with chick peas and lemon dressing; Asian stir-fry shrimp with sweet chili sauce, coriander and basmati rice; and seafood spaghetti.
Other menu options include millet salad with rocket (arugula) leaves, pomegranate and pistachios; buffalo mozzarella with tomatoes and fresh basil; artichoke risotto with lemon and sage; and homemade pies with truffle oil and black salt. These many delectable dishes make it difficult to order.
Sunday brunch, a local favorite, also continues and exists as a popular meeting point for Athenians, with flavors for all preferences at reasonable prices. The brunch menu includes various egg recipes, sandwiches, burgers, gourmet dishes and dessert.
New Taste's surroundings are just as unique as its menu, which is curated by Tasos Ioannides in collaboration with Chef Steven Frost. The restaurant is housed at New Hotel, which stands close to Plaka - arguably the most picturesque neighborhood in Athens.
