Hilo's newest bar and eatery is locally owned and operated Casa De Luna, a Spanish Mexican cuisine restaurant. Making a home inside of a historic building that was completely restored and refurbished to house the restaurant, the bar and eatery is ideally located in downtown Hilo among many other shops and eateries.

The unique decor is classy and festive, and the food is different than anything else in town. They serve a lot of traditional Mexican dishes, but all with a unique flare. Local seafood is also incorporated into the menu, such as ceviche and calamari. Tasty dishes like the artichoke baquette and the prawn and bacon entree stand out on the menu.

Dress is casual, but the place is festive enough to have fun dressing up a bit. Casa De Luna has a reliable nightlife scene, as live music is offered throughout the week, and the bar is already a favorite with locals to hang out and socialize. They also open for private parties and functions, and the venue is great for family time or a date night.
A kid's menu offers perfectly priced and sized portions for the little ones, and the bar pours local beers on tap, along with bottled imports and a variety of custom cocktails.
