10 Best Hotels near Big Island Cruise Ports

The Big Island is truly big. There's accommodations virtually hours from the cruise port in Hilo, which sheds light on the fact that it's quite useful to have a guide to great places to stay not far from the port. Accommodations within close range from the port vary greatly. There's budget hotels nicely placed along the ocean, there's resorts, and there's plenty of vacation rentals offering the comforts and beauty of a private home. So whether searching for a private home for a family, or a budget room to explore town, look no further than 10Best's list.

Budget travelers are in luck near the port. There's two highly affordable hotels that have pools and are located right above the ocean. Hilo Seaside Hotel and Uncle Billy's are located side by side on Banyan Drive, just a short drive from the port. These two hotels are just a few minutes from the attractions, restaurants and shopping Downtown Hilo has to offer.

For a highly unique and liberal resort a bit further away from the port, Kalani Oceanside Resort is a lovely place to stay.
