10 Best Family-Friendly Restaurants on the Big Island

The Big Island is laid back, and that vibe translates into many restaurants that are welcoming to families and children. It's never fun for people with children to feel like their sticking out like a sore thumb in a restaurant, and the Big Island offers a wide selection of family friendly eateries. From healthy to-go restaurants near castle like playgrounds to have a picnic at, to lively Mexican joints, the Big Island is happy to accommodate hungry families.

For a classy yet kid friendly place, make reservations at Hilo Bay Cafe on the east side. The restaurants new ocean front location accents the sleek and modern decor, but the eatery is very kid friendly, and even made the effort to create a kid's menu accompanied by crayons.
