The Gold Party, the White Party and 60s, 70s, and 80s parties; that's the sort of thing that happens at The Banzai Sushi Bar on a regular basis. While most other local bars and nightclubs focus on events featuring club music or reggae, "Banzai," as the locals call it, makes a good effort at coming up with themes that will get you dressing up and dancing wildly into the wee hours of a North Shore morning.

In addition to elaborately themed dance parties, Banzai offers live music on a regular basis throughout the week. Sometimes they host well-known reggae bands, and other times you'll find the cream of the local musician crop, but either way there's good music and great dancing.
On Sunday nights, it's "Sake Sundays" and all sake-tinis are 50% off. Happy Hour Wednesdays take place from 9:30-10:30 pm. Friday and Saturday nights most commonly offer popular live music.

The North Shore is a generally quiet part of the island, but there's a few staple bars that are the go-to nightlife spots and Banzai is one of them. One of the nice things about Banzai is that if you're staying on the North Shore at a vacation rental or a Turtle Bay Resort, it's a short drive from either (a taxi or bus ride adds to the safety).
Check with the venue's website or call the bar to get a schedule of up-to-date events which change weekly.
