You'll get more than the average shopping experience at Kauai's museum-like Red Koi Collection, which offers the opportunity to explore an interesting array of exotic fine arts. The collection includes unique finds such as original paintings, koa furniture, hand-painted silks and beautiful custom jewelry, both locally-made and imported. The top quality products give the shop an antique feel combined with the element of a home full of high-end products belonging to a wealthy world traveler.
A family-run business that has evolved from a small country store, started over twenty years ago by the current owner's parents, Red Koi Collection showcases exceptional crafts and original arts created locally and imported from all over the world.
The original store was located at the Kilohana Plantation in Lihue, and was taken over and revamped as the Red Koi Collection in 2005. Now located in Kukui`ula Village on the sunny south side, Red Koi does more than provide beautiful decor and art for customers' homes. Combining philanthropy with customer service, Red Koi donates a percentage of their sales to three different causes including the Kaua`i Food Bank, Child and Family Services, and the Wana Duma Children's Project which supports children in Kenya.
Red Koi is worth a stop for unique souvenirs, or a session of window shopping.
