Coco's Kauai Bed and Breakfast is unique in many ways. For starters, it's a "green" option when it comes to choosing a place to stay. The property is off of the electrical grid and utilizes hydroelectric power, compact fluorescent light bulbs and plant-based cleaning products. They also recycle. Located on the west side of Kauai, Coco's is regularly blessed with uninterrupted sunshine and dry weather.
Owned by the Robinson family, the owners of the "forbidden island" of Ni'ihau, the bed and breakfast offers single or double occupancy on the 12-acre estate. A family member manages the property, and it's a peaceful and isolated piece of land surrounded by jungle fruit trees. When in season, mango, banana, papaya, avocado, lychee, oranges, limes and tangerines are all available for guests to snack on.

There are two guest rooms available. A private, nearly 600-square-foot room has a king-sized bed, a couch, a kitchenette, a living room area and a private bathroom. Another smaller room is located across the hall, and it's ideal for a couple. If children are also on the trip, futons to put on the floor are available.
Wireless Internet is available, and laundry and barbecue facilities are also on site. Free use of beach gear is offered, so guests don't have to purchase their own beach towels, coolers, umbrella, chairs, snorkel gear or boogie boards. Rooms rent for $110 a night without breakfast, and $130 per night with breakfast.

Coco's is in close proximity to the most intriguing and sought-after sights and things to do on the west side of Kauai. Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Park are located inland from Coco's. Take the scenic, winding drive to these parks to wander through the forest on trails, see waterfalls and panoramic views of the Na Pali Coast. The longest beach on Kauai, Polihale State Beach Park, is nearby and is known as the best place on the island to watch the sunset.
Just a short drive south and guests at Coco's Kauai will find themselves in the heart of Poipu, a resort area where an abundance of different types of attractions and beaches lie. Take surf lessons at Poipu Beach and learn to ride waves at the white sand beach. Spouting Horn down the street amazes visitors with its ocean cliff blowhole. Also in Poipu is a varied selection of wonderful restaurants, ideal for romantic dates and fun group celebrations.
