RumFire is one of those classic Hawaiian staples that, until recently, could only be experienced on Oahu. But now it's Kauai's newest addition to the nightlife and dinner scene. Located inside of the gorgeous Sheraton Poipu, RumFire Poipu Beach is a contemporary bar and restaurant experience with amazing views of the resort's Ocean Courtyard, Poipu Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Following in the footsteps of its sister location in Waikiki, RumFire Poipu Beach is modern, contemporary and classy. RumFire can serve as a place to go for a fun time at a cool bar or for a nice sit-down dinner for a family or date night. Offering nearly 180-degree ocean views from all of its 240 seats, RumFire is Kauai's newest hot spot for locals and visitors alike.

Known for its exotic tropical cocktails - like mai tais, guava and coconut muddled drinks, mango mojitos and lycheetinis (a lychee martini) - RumFire offers some of the most exciting drinks on the island.
The dinner menu offers indulgences like Japanese pear flatbread, bacon and beets and Hamakua mushroom ravioli for appetizers and salads. Entrees consist of Hawaiian jerk chicken, filet mignon and RumFire planked salmon. An extravagant dessert menu as well as a children's menu make RumFire fit for an all-out dinner, but it's also perfectly suited for those who just want to enjoy a few drinks at the bar.
Open Tuesday through Saturday, RumFire serves food rooted in Hawaiian cuisine with an international influence that will satisfy and excite any palate. The flavor of RumFire's delicious exotic cocktails is matched by the gorgeous views of the Pacific.
Since it's tucked into the heart of Poipu and surrounded by some of the island's best beaches, top shopping centers and other renowned restaurants, there's a lot to do in the area before dinner. Venture down a long dirt road to the Maha'ulepu Beaches. Consisting of three spots named Gillin's, Kawailoa Bay and Ha'ula Beach, the beaches offer privacy and a great expanse of white sand.
This is a great place to go for a long day at the beach, but you'll want to bring water and food. Kawailoa is a bay and offers the most protection from the wind, which can often get strong out here.

For those in the mood for retail therapy, visit The Shops at Kukui'ula. The near-shore shopping center located in sunny Poipu is a mix of elegance, with it's modern and tropical design and casual and high-end shopping.
Fashion, gifts and decor are available in many different boutiques like Bungalow Nine and the Red Koi Collection. Modern paintings and island-inspired photography are also available here. Surf shops, men and women's clothing, resort wear and a gourmet grocery shop add up to providing everything you could need.
When venturing to RumFire, one thing's for sure: you should explore the rest of sunny Poipu, too.
