Kaua`i may be the land of natural beauty and outdoor activities, but it certainly isn't lacking in shopping. Anyone seeking souvenirs or good ol' retail therapy won't be disappointed when it comes to shopping on the Garden Isle. Each side of the island has plenty of small shops and boutiques, for clothing, souvenirs, locally made crafts, and art work.

The west side is dotted with art galleries and craft shops. The North Shore has a seemingly endless amount of surf shops, crafts shops, art and other souvenirs. Meanwhile historic downtown Kapa`a is also lined with lovely art and glass galleries, swimwear and boutique clothing stores.

Keep in mind baggage fees - they're easy to rack up when shopping on Kauai, and most airlines now charge quite a bit for each piece of baggage. Remember, while shopping on Kauai buy local as much as you can!
