Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) is just 18 miles from downtown and the Blue Line el train makes it very convenient to travel to and from the Loop and the fifth busiest airport in the world. If your plans make it necessary to stay near the airport, hotel accommodations and attractions are plentiful in the area making it just as convenient to stick around.
Hilton Chicago O’Hare is the only hotel on airport property so if you’ve arrived late or need to leave early, this hotel is a safe bet. Several hotels nearby, including those in the city next door, Rosemont, offer free shuttle service to their hotel and the airport including the Westin O’Hare, Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare and Four Points by Sheraton O’Hare.
Since the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont is so near (just 3 miles away from O’Hare Airport), welcoming thousands of visitors for special events, the dining and entertainment options are pretty outstanding considering you’re near an airport. There also are plenty of things to do and places to eat within Rosemont.
Located directly across from the convention center and easily accessible by enclosed walkways are the Doubletree (with Gibson’s Steakhouse on the premises) and Embassy Suites (with its Frank Lloyd Wright design).
