Rosemont is quickly securing its place on the map and not just because it’s located next to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The suburb is best known for its convention center but new developments including a designer outlet mall, upscale movie theater and huge outdoor park are making it a destination.
See & Do
Whether you’re in the mood for a sports game, to shoot some pool or to take in a show, Rosemont’s entertainment scene runs the gamut. Allstate Arena’s 18,500 seat indoor facility is packed with concerts and games while the Rosemont Theatre and Zanie’s Comedy Club provide a different kind of live performance entertainment.
From fine dining to casual, visitors to Rosemont don’t need to head to Chicago to enjoy some of the finest steakhouses or a casual beer. Popular steakhouses including Gibson’s to Morton’s make many trade show attendees happy with their convenient location across the street from the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center while families and friends find Hofbrauhaus and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill more their speed.
The newly created MB Financial Park has introduced a nightlife to Rosemont that it hasn’t seen in years. Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill and Hofbrauhaus each offers live music many evenings in addition to full service restaurants and bars while Kings lets friends bowl together or karaoke while enjoying some imaginative cocktails at one of two premium bars on the premises. Movie buffs appreciate the VIP amenities at Muvico.
Fashion Outlets of Chicago opened on August 1 as an international shopping mecca, with stores like Burberry and Prada. An enormous indoor designer outlet mall, among its exhaustive guest services is its airline baggage check-in and boarding pass issuance for those traveling through O’Hare International Airport. Locals will appreciate its convenient location, too. It’s just a 10-15 minute walk from the Rosemont Blue Line and parking up to two hours is free.
