You Don't Need a Ton of Money to Enjoy Florence!

Just because you don't have the budget of the Medici family doesn't mean you need to stay home and avoid all that Florence has to offer. Several hotels offer some easily walkable locations from the city center, so even though you are paying less, you'll still be able to see everything you want to.
Hotel Casci is one of the friendliest establishments you will find in Florence, and they offer a complete breakfast and are always available to answer any questions you might have. It's a short walk away from the Duomo, so you can easily find it again after a night of enjoyment and good food.
San Frediano offers a bit more opulent setting, and the building was once home to a prominent Florentine family. The rooms are large (a huge commodity in Florence) and offer a glimpse into the past and an idea of how much money these old families used to have.
When you are considering a night or two out, you might want to think about booking a room at Hotel Santa Croce near the famous piazza. Not only is it in a superb location, but you are also in the midst of the city and close to some of the best restaurants and bars.
Wherever you choose to stay, you'll want to take advantage of this beautiful city even as a budget-minded traveler.
Hotel Loggia Fiorentina
Hotel Loggia Fiorentina has a finely-decorated interior with plenty of comfortable rooms. Situated in a good location, it's easy to make your way to the Duomo and other sights from this hotel. The bathroom is communal, but the small size of the hotel guarantees that you won't have to share it with a whole bunch of other guests. The rooms are also small, but the staff is more than helpful. The hotel is also tucked away on a quieter street, so if you are in Florence for a relaxing vacation, you don't need to worry about loud noises in the middle of the night from rowdy locals and visitors.
Hotel Santa Croce
Close to the Santa Croce piazza, you won't find a better place to stay if you want to enjoy Florence's nightlife and you want easy access to that part of the city. The service here is reason enough to stay, and you know you are in good hands happy to help you with any heavy luggage that you might be carrying with you. Breakfast and Wifi are available, so you can feel free to sleep in and enjoy a good meal in the morning. It's so close to all the main attractions, so you don't have to worry about missing anything or getting lost.
Hotel Crocini is located a bit away from the city center, but if you are looking for some peace and quiet and a room with a view, this might be your best options. Serving up a breakfast every morning, and supplying a staff willing to help you with your every need, you'll be happy and comfortable in the rooms they have offered. Wifi and air conditioning are also available, so even though you are paying a low price you can still relax at the hotel in comfort. They also offer additional parking space that you might want to think about if you have rented a car and don't want to worry about something bad happening to your rented vehicle.
San Frediano Mansion
The old home of the famous Florentine family of the Copponi has been turned into a wonderful budget hotel that still maintains some of the opulence from its days as a palazzo. The rooms are some of the largest you will find in Florence, and the staff is helpful. All the important amenities are provided for, including a Wifi connection and breakfast in the morning. It's location close to the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi museum make it the perfect place for visitors who aren't willing to walk very far in order to see some of Florence's most famous and interesting attractions.
Youth Hostel Firenze 2000
When you are thinking about really sticking to a budget, youth hostels can be a great option. Youth Hostel Firenze 2000 is one of the best hostels in the city for young people, and it comes with some perks you might not be able to find at some other places. Towels and linens are included, and it's not a far walk from anything a tourist in Florence would want to see--not something other hostels can claim. The staff is accommodating and will offer to help you with anything you need--including hauling your bags up three flights of stairs to the hostel entrance.
Located centrally, Hotel Benvenuti takes pride in offering guests clean rooms and basic commodities. You'll find a Wifi connection here, and the short walk to the Duomo and other sights is worth the price alone. The staff is more than willing to answer any questions you might have about the rooms or about Florence in general. Not only are the rooms clean and comfortable, but they are also spacious and many of them have good-sized beds available if you are planning on booking a room as a couple. A small breakfast is also offered to guests if they are interested.
Only a fifteen-minute walk away from the city center, this hotel is clean and the staff is extremely helpful. It can be a little tricky to find access to the main entrance, but once you are inside you'll find a comfortable atmosphere and people at the front desk ready to help you and offer you any guidance when you are in Florence. The rooms are a bit small, but you definitely get what you pay for. The location and the staff makes Hotel Savonarola a great place if you are looking to relax after backpacking or you need a hotel with a price you can pay.
Basic rooms with a friendly staff can be found at the Hotel Azzi. Though it takes a walk to get to some of the major sights visitors will want to see, it also supplies a fresh breakfast in the morning. The staff is what makes this little place a hidden gem, and they are more than willing to help you make your Florence experience one that you will want to always remember by pointing out the best way to get to where you want to go. Even better? Some of the rooms offer air conditioning--something you certainly won't find at most of the budget hotels in the city.
Located near the center of the city, Hotel Abraco tries to recreate a little bit of the grandeur of Florence despite having more than fair prices. Wifi and breakfast is all included, and the short walk to the Duomo makes it easy to get to the center of the city with very little effort. It's also clean, and even though the staff might not speak perfect English, they are more than willing to accommodate their guests and help you with everything you need. You'll appreciate the fact it's so close to everything you might want to see and do in the city.
Finding a budget hotel in a great location is not always easy, but Hotel Casci is exactly that. It's only a few minutes away from some of the major sights, including the Duomo and Michelangelo's David. It's a family-run business, and every member of the staff is helpful and kind--they're also happy to give you suggestions on where you might want to eat or any sights worth seeing. When you are thinking about finding a place to stay that you know will be clean and can offer you some great directions when you need to get out and about, you'll want to stay here.
