Valter Vitorino, owner of Café Brazil, fell in love with food when he began cooking as a 12-year old in Brazil. In 1969, he traveled to America and honed his skills at some of Boston's best restaurants. With the help of a friend, he opened Café Brazil and has been serving real Brazilian home-cooking for over 20 years. For a taste of the goods, try mineirinho, a Brazilian take on Southern-fried chicken and collard greens, or churrasco brazuca, grilled steak and onions. You'll also find rice and beans, pork, and a classic feijoada, served only on weekends. A Brazilian guitarist adds a pleasant vibe on weekends as well.
