More Mexico Travel Information

When you think of Mexico, be sure to think of Mexico as vibrant. Everything about it is dynamic: the bright colors, bold textures, strong flavors and rich aromas. Even the weather is bold, whether it's the heat and humidity of the coastal plains or the drier, more temperate regions inland in the mountains, or even the snow-capped volcanoes. Mexico has something for everyone and a lot of everything it has. This is a land with a vital history that's still strong today — just visit any of the ancient Meso-American ruins including the Mayans in Tulum and Uxmal, the Aztecs in Teotihuacan near Mexico City, or the Olmec in Tres Zapotes and Zempoala. Much of what has made Mexico what it is, you'll also see in the country's largest museum, the Museo Nacional de Antropologia in Mexico City. Beyond history, though, Mexico is also blessed with a beautiful and vibrant relationship with water. It is surrounded by four seas and has about 450 beaches — some of the world's finest. You won't want to miss the luscious white sand and varied water sports available in Acapulco, Cancun, Cozumel, Ixtapa, Los Cabos, Playa del Carmen and Puerto Vallarta, just to name a few. Try your hand at sailing, kayaking, fishing, surfing and some of the most beautiful scuba diving on earth. Festivals are also a big part of Mexican culture and add a spirited adventure to your trip, from the craziness of Carnaval, to the solemn religious rites and colorful celebrations of Semana Santa, to the sweet and scary pageantry of the Day of the Dead. And last, but certainly not least, you can't fully enjoy a Mexican vacation without tasting the spicy, sweet and exotic native Mexican foods along the way. Travel Mexico — truly an exciting and vibrant experience.
