Developers realized, even in its infancy as a tourist destination, that the best address in Cabo San Lucas was at the foot of Médano Beach – the Land’s End city’s longest and largest stretch of golden sand.
Hotel Hacienda was first to claim this prime piece of real estate, and during its heyday in the 1970s, the palm-shaded retreat was a favorite of visiting Hollywood royalty, from the Rat Pack to John Wayne and Raquel Welch.
In 2005, the property was rebuilt as the Hacienda Beach Club & Residences, a luxurious enclave of richly appointed beachfront villas and vacation rentals.

Hacienda boasts five-star amenities like infinity pools, catering and concierge services, wedding planners, a pampering spa and a dedicated kids’ club, where the younger set dive into games and guided activities while mom and dad are enjoying a romantic dinner at one of Los Cabos’ finest restaurants . . . which just happens to be onsite.
But the best amenities, for forty-plus years, have been the convenient location and the incredible views. Hacienda commands a full quarter mile of prime beachfront property, with gorgeous views of Cabo San Lucas Bay and the evocatively shaped granitic monuments clustered at Land’s End, the southernmost point of the approximately 800-mile-long Baja California peninsula.
As an added bonus, Hacienda is a stone’s throw from the seaside cantinas that proliferate in front of Playa El Médano’s less privileged accommodation options; steps from the city’s bustling Marina area; and a mere 5- to 10-minute walk from downtown shopping, dining and nightlife.

Luxury lodgings at Hacienda include two- and three-bedroom residences, as well as beachfront villas, all of which are available by the day, week or month as vacation rentals, or as vacation homes or full-time homes for those on permanent vacation.
The residences are artfully designed to allow a seamless flow of indoor and outdoor spaces, and all feature elegant appointments and state-of-the-art appliances.
Private chefs are available for dinner parties, or simply to cook up the marlin you caught earlier.
The setting and service at the excellent onsite restaurant, Hacienda Cocina y Cantina, are so impressive that it has not only become a popular stop for visitors seeking authentic regional Mexican cuisine, but also a much sought-after venue for weddings, receptions and renewal of vows ceremonies.
Events specialists are on call for such occasions, of course, and the restaurant is only one of many picturesque places – there are also elaborately manicured grounds and festively bedecked terrace, pool and beachside areas – available for celebrations.
Both the spa and restaurant are open to the public with advanced reservations.
