All vacations, especially vacations in Cancun, are enjoyable. Spending time at an all-inclusive resort where all you have to worry about is what your next activity will be and where you will eat your next meal is a dream come true, a welcome escape from the daily grind.
But what does it take to turn an enjoyable vacation into a spectacular one? Ask the staff at Club Med Cancun Yucatan.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan is located at Punta Nizuc – a lush, quiet section of Cancun’s Hotel Zone that's far from nightclubs, restaurants and shopping malls. When arriving at the non-conspicuous entrance, you might wonder what you’ve gotten yourself into. But by all means, keep going.
Because what lies beyond is an unforgettable experience.

Club Med is known for two things: their staff and their activities. The staff (GOs) quickly become the guests' (GMs) vacation family.
In fact, it's difficult not to become attached to the friendly, charming, permanent occupants of “The Village,” the name used for all Club Med resorts. They eat with you, play with you, take care of your children and have cocktails with you.
And, thankfully, each member of this very international group generally speaks at least two languages.
The resort manager, AKA the “Chief du Village,” is surprisingly yet pleasantly present. He will emcee the shows and events and chat with you at breakfast. He’ll even do the official Club Med dance with you each evening.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan’s manager Nicola Gala, in particular, is a handsome, charismatic Italian who still enthusiastically participates in the nightly shows.
The activities at Club Med are, in a word, outstanding.
Of course, if you prefer, you can spend the day lounging on the spectacular white-sand beach or by the pool sipping on tropical cocktails. But if you're up for it, there's so much to do and discover about yourself here.

Club Med’s signature activity is the flying trapeze. Yes, the trapeze. Guests, even the smallest ones, learn to fly on the trapeze and, if they choose, perform in a show at the end of the week.
Much of the staff, even those who are not part of the circus team, do the same.
Other activities include waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, tennis and various fitness classes. There are also different classes, like salsa lessons, throughout the day.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan’s nightly shows are delightful and thoroughly entertaining. Cocktails beforehand at the Mayan Lounge are a must. (Bonus: The beer mugs are chilled!)
Many of the GOs participate in the shows, and there are often guest performers, as well. There's generally a nightclub or disco with a DJ afterwards. The Cuban band on Saturday evening is a highlight.
Most days, there's also a kids show earlier in the evening, which, again, features the staff.

You’ll never go hungry at the resort. The main buffet La Hacienda offers a huge selection. And it's open for breakfast, lunch and themed dinners (Whatever you do, try the risotto on Friday night.), including a huge dessert table.
Ask for a "shared" table if you would like to meet and eat with other guests. There are always choices for kids and a special baby food area.
Two a la carte restaurants are available on-site, as well: Las Cazuelas (Mexican cuisine) and La Estancia (Argentinean steakhouse). Both require reservations for dinner and offer a children’s menu.
Speaking of children, if you have any, they will love Club Med. The Mini Club (ages four to 10) is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. It features activities like arts and crafts, sports tournaments and circus, among others.
There are also kids' clubs for ages 11 to 17 (The Car Wash) and ages two to three (Petit Club). Babysitting is available for an additional cost.

Club Med Cancun Yucatan is currently renovating many of their guest rooms. There are three types available: Suites 5 Trident Space, Deluxe and Club.
For families, the Aquamarina building is a must. The remodeled ocean-view family suites have an extra bedroom and bathroom for the kiddos and provide spectacular views. There's even a playground and minigolf course right outside.
Jade, the most exclusive building, is part of Club Med’s 5 Trident program, which includes unique activities, customized services, a private pool and an overall elite experience.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan also offers Club Med Spa by Comfort Zone, which features various spa treatments and packages and talented therapists.
Guests booking vacations now through Oct. 27, 2015, for stays on select dates through April 27, 2016, may take advantage of the Press Pause sale, which provides all-inclusive getaways with stay more, save more booking incentives.
It's not difficult to understand why Club Med guests are fiercely loyal; many have been to Club Med resorts all over the world.
Club Med Cancun Yucatan won’t disappoint these loyal fans or Club Med newbies, either, for that matter.
