A Picture-Perfect Cancun Vacation: These Resorts Boast the Dreamiest Beaches

Everyone knows that Cancun is one of the top vacation destinations in the world, mainly due to its 14 miles of white sand beaches and turquoise blue Caribbean Sea. When planning a Cancun beach vacation it's important to remember that all of the resorts' beaches are not created equal. If you take a look at a map, Cancun is shaped like the number "7". The resorts that are located on the top of the 7 feature beaches that have calmer waters as they are protected from the open ocean because they face Isla Mujeres (Island of Women). These beaches are nice for families with small children.

On the side of the 7 is where you'll find the resorts that offer the best beaches in Cancun. These beaches are wide and face the open, clear, aqua blue Caribbean Sea. Most resorts do have lifeguards on the beach and visitors should always swim with caution and pay attention to the beach flags, which indicate ocean conditions. The undertow in this part of the Hotel Zone can be very strong.

Some of the best beach hotels in Cancun that are located on the side of the 7 are the Westin Lagunamar, Le Blanc, the JW Marriott, the Ritz-Carlton, Live Aqua, the Beach Palace, Club Med, the Oasis Grand, Iberostar Cancun and the Royal Sunset. It is important to do research, because there are also a few hotels on the side of the 7 that do not have a nice beach.

The Sunset Royal Beach Hotel, located in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone, sits on a beautiful wide strip of white sand beach and provides amazing views of the aqua blue Caribbean Sea. It's also close to the city's hottest nightspots, dining and...  Read More
