Holiday shopping can often be a tedious experience, running from store to store trying to find the perfect present. Last-minute holiday shopping is even worse, fighting crowds and rummaging through a selection of “gifts” that have already been pretty well picked through.
Luckily, in a shopping mecca like Las Vegas, holiday shopping can be the joyous occasion it was meant to be, with a seemingly endless selection of stores to shop at – many within walking distance or just a short drive away from one another on the Las Vegas Strip!

“Las Vegas is a city unlike any other,” says Janet LaFevre, senior marketing manager for Fashion Show and the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian/The Palazzo. “Nowhere else are you able to shop, dine and be entertained through one of the world’s most famous thoroughfares – all contained in a four-mile stretch!”
At Fashion Show alone, holiday shoppers can shop ’til they drop at more than 250 boutiques and seven department stores. In addition to old favorites like Forever 21 and Apple, Fashion Show added 45 new stores in 2014, including many first-to-market brands like Lorna Jane, G-Star Raw, AG Jeans, Kipling and Carmen Steffens.
The luxurious Grand Canal Shoppes also welcomed several stores in 2014.
“This year, we’ve added some stellar additions, including Robert Graham, Armani Collezioni and Agent Provocateur,” says John Zilliken, senior general manager for the Grand Canal Shoppes. “They join standouts like Nevada’s only Barneys New York, Christian Louboutin and Bottega Veneta."
"More than a dozen restaurants, many led by award-winning chefs (including Wolfgang Puck, Buddy Valastro and Emeril Lagasse), round out the star-studded lineup that make this a world-class destination," Zilliken adds. "Only in Vegas will you find this much talent in one resort on the famed Las Vegas Strip.”

A diverse array of shops within close proximity to one another isn’t the only reason Las Vegas is such a unique shopping destination. Many of its retail centers offer shoppers an experience unlike any other, with breathtaking architecture and free entertainment.
The Grand Canal Shoppes, for instance, features cobblestone walkways and illuminated painted ceilings centered along a quarter-mile-long Grand Canal replica, giving guests the feeling that they’re shopping in Venice. It also features talented Streetmosphere performers who entertain visitors throughout the retail center.
For those who don’t want to make the trip to the Strip to finish their holiday shopping, there are plenty of places off-Strip to find the perfect present as well.
Two of the city’s most popular retail centers are actually located off-Strip, Las Vegas South Premium Outlets and Las Vegas North Premium Outlets, offering savings of up to 65 percent. Shoppers can truly stretch their holiday budget at both retail centers.
Las Vegas also recently welcomed Downtown Summerlin to its off-Strip shopping mix. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, the open-air retail center is home to a diverse collection of shops and boutiques, from familiar favorites like Old Navy and Victoria’s Secret to first-to-market retailers like The Toy Box and Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse.
With so many retail centers to choose from, there’s never a shortage of places to go in Las Vegas to find something for everyone on your gift-giving list.
