Truckee Tavern & Grill offers a nice range of wines from California, France and Italy and local and regional draft beers. But customers are mostly talking about the tavern’s cocktails.
The bar’s spirits reflect the history of Truckee’s bootlegging during Prohibition and focus on artisanal, small-batch gin and whisky.
Other drinks are creatively mixed with the best rum, tequila and vodka.
Each cocktail costs $11 and includes a fun name like Greta and the Tramp with genevere, cranberry, sherry, cinnamon and sparkling wine or The Gold Rush with bourbon, rum, egg, cream, cinnamon and nutmeg.
