Gold Hill Hotel has been featured on the Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures show, and it's said to house several ghosts, including Rosie, a former prostitute.
The historic feel of the hotel will stay, but the saloon, Crown Point Restaurant, rooms and cabins will be updated by new owners Robert and Nikki Wilkenson, who also own Heidi’s Family Restaurant in Carson City.
“We took a cautious yet forward-thinking approach to the remodel,” says Robert. “Cautious in regards to the history of the property and the loyalty of its clientele. We hear a lot about the memories and why people love the Gold Hill, and so our renovations were designed to enhance that experience and not turn anyone away or have someone think we did too much.”

The historic saloon was opened up by removing cabinetry and incorporating Gold Hill memorabilia.
Crown Point Restaurant will feature a new breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, featuring a mix of Western and Napa dishes.
The saloon (known by its ceiling full of dollar bills) is open seven days a week and includes happy hour specials and a roaring fireplace.
