10Best Shopping Malls and Centers in Lake Tahoe

If you are shopping in the Lake Tahoe area, there are not too many larger malls to go to, but what Tahoe does have are smaller shopping centers and cute, little ski villages that features stores selling clothing, ski gear, outdoor gear, food, home design items and even children's toys.

The various malls in the Tahoe area include the Boatworks Mall and the Cobblestone Center in Tahoe City. There is also several large malls like the Summit and Cabela's just outside of Tahoe in the Truckee and Reno areas. The best shopping at Tahoe is at the various ski resorts including Heavenly, Northstar and Squaw Valley in the Olympic Valley. Each of these resorts feature villages with shops like Patagonia, The North Face, Oakley and True North. Ski and outdoor gear rule in the mountains and you are sure to find something that you can use in Tahoe or take home as a gift.

Other shopping areas include the Artisan's Market Place in Truckee which features locally made art by artists in the area. This is a great place to find that perfect gift. Locals like to shop at places like this as well as shops like the Lululemon outlet in Truckee. If you are visiting the Truckee area, the entire historic downtown has dozens of clothing, jewelry and artisan shops as well as restaurants and cafes.
