  • Best Value: "Café Castro is a bit hard to find. This is one of those places where a GPS really comes in handy. From downtown, it's a bit after St. Michael's drive. Look for Pep Boys or Jackalope on your left. The restaurant will be on your right."
  • Southwestern: "If you want a hyper-local dining experience and reasonable prices and like spicy food, Café Castro's is a great choice. A few generations of Santa Feans have grown up eating here. It's a family place."
  • Recommended as Best Value Because: The food is authentic New Mexican made from old family recipes. The portions are ample and prices are reasonable for good value dining.
  • Best for Southwestern Because: The food is authentic, tasty and for Santa Fe, reasonably priced.
