About Columbus

Located on the banks of the Scioto River in Buckeye Country, Columbus is one of the fastest growing economies in the US, driven by high-tech companies such as CompuServe. The capital of Ohio has become the 15th largest city in the country and boasts the variety, excitement and culture you would expect from a major metropolitan area. The thriving art scene is internationally recognized. Family events — such as the Ohio State Fair, Picnic with the Pops, and downtown's Arts Festival — are featured throughout the year. After dark, the nightlife sizzles in places like the German Village, Short North and the happening Brewery District. Other attractions include the world-famous Columbus Zoo, Franklin Park Conservatory, and a riverfront replica of the Santa Maria. Columbus is also home to Ohio State University and Columbus College of Art & Design.
