Gettysburg is a town that pays ongoing respect to its pivotal role in the Civil War. Honoring that tradition, it has preserved much of its history and buildings, most of which are on the National Register of Historic Places. These national and local treasures aren't only museums but they're also functional dwellings used as inns, bed and breakfast homes, farmhouses, and hotels. They stand on the ready to accommodate weary travelers and visitors. There are over six dozen hotels in the small town of Gettysburg that welcome guests throughout the year, each with their own distinct character and nod to the past.
