What do you do when you're in or around Philadelphia and feel like relaxing at the beach, but don't want to fight the crowds or traffic to get there and back?
You head to the recently renovated and expanded Valley Beach Poolside Club at Valley Forge Casino Resort. That's what.
Located just across the street from Valley Forge National Historical Park, this makes a great place to cool off and recharge in warmer weather.

Valley Beach offers up the very best of what the beach has to offer: an incredible 20,000-square-foot poolside oasis, complete with open-air bar; comfortable cabanas for rent (which are terrific for small private parties such as bachelor or bachelorette parties, by the way); and also its own sandy beach area with games that can be enjoyed outdoors.
If that's not enough, there's also a stage area for live entertainment via bands or DJ, as well as a huge projection screen to allow beach-goers to view the game or a popular movie, all while still outside.
It doesn't get much better than that!
Even if you've got a great rental at the New Jersey shore, you're battling other people for a spot in the sun. And you certainly can't walk up a few steps to refill your beverage or grab a great bite to eat from a delicious food menu that features such options as Jerk Chicken Quesadillas, Summer Shandy Steamed Shrimp and sandwiches and salads to cool you off.
There are also quite a few beverage options to choose from at Valley Beach Poolside Club, from soft drinks, iced tea, water and lemonade to great cocktail selections like piña coladas, mojitos, daiquiris and margaritas.
Beer is also available, for those who like to keep it simple.

Speaking of simple, getting to Valley Beach and taking advantage of this incredible new addition to the summer scene in the Philadelphia area is also a breeze.
If you're staying at the resort, then Valley Beach can be enjoyed as part of your visit. Should you want to visit while in the area (but not a guest of the resort), then you may purchase a day pass or season pass so that you can soak up the sun on your time.
Families are welcome during the day. After 6 p.m., the area opens up to a more adult-oriented scene, so only those 21 and over are admitted.
This wonderful new area promises to give families, small groups, friends and coworkers a cool opportunity to get the best of the shore scene with the advantages of not having to battle city traffic to get there. It also frees up a ton of your time that can be better spent on a lounge chair with a cool beverage by your side.
Now we're talking!
