Singapore has plenty of family-friendly activities close to the city's cruise terminals to ensure a fun-filled stopover. Sentosa Island is just a stone’s throw away, and packs in a wealth of attractions, from theme parks to aquariums, from sandy beaches to water-play parks and flying fox rides. Further into town, hop aboard a sightseeing riverboat, ride the world’s largest observation wheel or let the kids run wild in the Gardens by the Bay.
Harbourfront Cruise Centre is located just a stone’s throw from Sentosa Island – locally known as Singapore’s playground. The two biggest attractions on Sentosa for families are Universal Studios and Marine Life Park. Both of these attractions could easily keep you entertained for your entire visit, but there are certainly other places to visit on Sentosa as well.
Transportation - Sentosa Island is easily accessible from Harbourfront Cruise Centre in just a few minutes in a taxi, or you can choose to take the monorail from the nearby VivoCity shopping mall. Alternatively, for maximum fun and for a chance at some additional sightseeing, jump aboard the Singapore Cable Car, also known as the Mount Faber Cable Car, from the Harbourfront Centre.

Marine Life Park - Within Resorts World Sentosa, you will find Marine Life Park. This fun, wet and dry attraction is home to both an aquarium and adventure park. The Southeast Asia Aquarium is the world’s largest aquarium, with over 100,000 marine animals from over 800 species. The Adventure Cove Waterpark is filled with water slides, wave pools and inner tube rides.
Universal Studios - The Universal Studios theme park at Resorts World Sentosa is a guaranteed fun day out for the family. The park boasts movie-themed rides and attractions, such as the Shrek 4-D Adventure, Madagascar: A Crate Adventure and Battlestar Galactica – the world’s tallest dueling roller coaster ride.

Other Sentosa attractions - Elsewhere on Sentosa, you will find other attractions to keep you busy, including the Port of Lost Wonder water-play kids club, the part go-cart, part toboggan Luge and the 450-meter-long flying fox ride at MegaZip Adventure Park. Or choose from a host of family-friendly beachside bars and restaurants along the three sandy beaches that line Sentosa’s southern coast.
From Marina Bay
If your cruise ship comes into Marina Bay Cruise Centre, then you are still just a 15-minute cab ride away from all of the above attractions on Sentosa, as well as some other standard sightseeing options closer to town.
Singapore River - The Singapore Flyer is suitable for all the family, as you jump aboard the world’s highest observation wheel to take in the views across Singapore. Children and adults alike will also enjoy a sightseeing river cruise up the Singapore River while you're at it.
Gardens by the Bay - If you find the kids have too much pent-up energy after days at sea, then head to the Gardens by the Bay, where there are 100 hectares of gardens, paths and suspended walkways to run around, plus two climate-controlled conservatories. The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest are good stops when everyone needs to cool down.
