Stylish roof bars, beachside cocktails and late-night revelry – the choice is yours with Singapore's vibrant nightlife scene.

Singapore has long since shrugged off its image of being ‘boring’ and now has one of the most vibrant nightlife scenes in Asia, with plenty of fabulous bars vying for your business. With so many buildings crammed into a small island, it is no surprise that roof bars are big news in Singapore, and many bars on the list follow this trend. Number one on our list, Ku De Ta, is the current see and be seen hot spot, with its illuminated bar, classy cocktail list, stylish restaurant and happening dance club and staggering views across the city.

If you have a head for heights, then be sure to check out 1-altitude – the highest al-fresco bar in the world at 282m. Other roof bars to check out include the Fullerton Bay Hotel’s poolside Lantern bar with its stunning views across Marina Bay and the slightly more modest Ying Yang at the Club Hotel in Chinatown. If you prefer to take in your views in air-conditioned comfort, then head to the New Asia Bar at Swissotel the Stamford, or Level 33 at the Marina Bay Financial Centre.

If you’re not bothered about a view of the skyline, then check out our three off-the-beaten track choices: One Rochester, for cozy cocktails amongst the tropical garden foliage; Tanjong Beach Club for a beachside tipple and chill-out tunes; or Prive at the Marina at Keppel Bay for sea breeze and romance. And if you still have energy at the end of the night, put on your dancing shoes and head to Clarke Quay, where several nightclubs will welcome you in, including our number 10 choice, Attica.
