About Clemson, SC Restaurants

Sure Clemson's a college town, but don't make the mistake of thinking the area offerings are limited to your standard student fare. That's not to say that places like Peppinos and Mellow Mushroom aren't around to keep hungry co-eds well fed on pizza, but if you're willing to look beyond downtown, the local dining scene has far more going for it than sub sandwiches, wings, and toasted bagels. Homemade Chinese, Italian, Mexican, and Turkish dishes are available within a mile of campus, giving a tinge of international flavor to the community table. For the white linen treatment, places such as Calhoun Corners, Villa Novella, and Liberty Hall certainly offer stellar opportunities for inventive recipes and romantic times. Thankfully, good, old-fashioned Southern cookery isn't left by the wayside thanks to Dyar's Diner, and it even gets a contemporary touch at Farmer's Hall and Seasons by the Lake.
