Going out to eat isn't always about cravings. Often enough, mealtimes dictate our choices, limiting restaurant possibilities. When circumstances narrow the options, let 10Best help. We'll direct you to the best Breakfast restaurants in Clemson and save you the hassle of calling around for business hours. 10Best readers find much to enjoy at Central Station Cafe thanks to its all-around good offerings. It's also hard to beat Dyar's Diner, which serves just what you're looking for when you're in the market for a great Breakfast.

10 Pot Belly Deli
Classic deli-style sandwiches, soups, and specialty salads are the forte at this Clemson sandwich shop, which is located about a mile away from campus. Their creative sandwich ideas incorporate tons of surprising ingredients and tag-teams, including an awesome cucumber, turkey, and thousand island number. They also serve bagels, gourmet coffee, and other breakfast options early in the morning. (864-653-3663)

9 Fernow Street Cafe
Convenient to the academic buildings on the west side of campus — Brackett, Lee, Sirrine, and Riggs Halls, to name a few — Fernow Street has become a popular spot to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch. Both dine-in and takeout options are available, and the choice of grub includes bagels, deli sandwiches, sushi, pizza, and grilled fare. They accept Paw Points and TigerStripe. (864-656-1272)

8 Pendleton Cafe & Coffees Company
A cozy vibe and small town charm pervade this quaint little cafe in Pendleton, where locals often stop in for an early morning jolt of joe (accompanied by a breakfast sandwich or bagel, of course) and also later in the day for a quick afternoon bite from their lunch menu, which features burgers, sandwiches, and an always reliable soup of the day. This a good place for antiquers to "re-fuel" while persuing the wares of downtown shops, as well. (864-646-7838)

7 Moe Joe Coffee Company
This Carolina-spun coffee joint (it's actually based out of Anderson) opens early every day, thereby ensuring students and staff can head off to class with one of Tigertown's most perfectly crafted cups of percolated brew. Why's the Moe Joe's coffee so good, you may ask? The answer's is all in the process: they batch-roast each and every bean they brew weekly. If you're not struggling to get to your next class or appointment, opt to sip inside and take in the spot's chilled charm — and maybe even a round or two of checkers. (864-653-8563)

6 Schilletter Dining Hall
Residents living on the east side of campus make up a large portion of the clientele at Schilletter, located in the Bryan Mall behind the student center. Pizza stations and grill area are available for those wanting something quick and easy; otherwise, queue up for hot vegetables, hand-carved ham or turkey, chicken pot pie, or some other homestyle cookery. (864-656-2276)

5 Clemson House Dining Hall
The dorm on the knoll across from Sikes and Tillman Halls, the Clemson House was once the town's top hotel, and for years after that it was where students enrolled in the Calhoun Honors College program resided. Students, mostly upper-classmen, still reside in the spacious, suite-like rooms, and the dining hall on the first floor continues to be one of the campus's most popular places to feed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food is served cafeteria or buffet-style, and diners have no shortage of choices, from pastas and pizzas to deli sandwiches and hot meals. They accept Paw Points and TigerStripe. (864-656-0450)

4 Harcombe Dining Hall
The primary dining hall for students living on the west side of campus, Harcombe has a long history of keeping undergraduates well fed. Over the years, this enormous dining hall has diversified its offerings to include more "restauranty" options like pizza and pasta, grilled burgers and gyros, deli sandwiches, and salads. If you need to eat on the run, Harcombe's To Go Station is located near the back entrance. (864-656-2120)

3 Einstein Bros. Bagels
On campus, students and faculty know just where to go when they need a quick, reliable "coffee-n-bagel" fix. Located in the student center, this little shop carries a large number of tasty schmears, too, and as the day wears on, patrons stop in for salads, sandwiches, and even sweets. Einstein Bros. accepts Paw Points and TigerStripe as well. (864-656-1360)

2 Java City-Cyber Cafe
Students and researchers who burn the midnight oil at Cooper would be the first to admit that Java City couldn't have been located better (it's on the 5th floor). Featuring a variety of coffees and coffee-inspired beverages, this little cyber cafe is great place to take a study break or just refuel for a long night of cramming. They also have a handful of edibles like sandwiches, salads, and pastries. Accepted forms of payment include Paw Points and TigerStripe. (864-656-6858)

1 Dyar's Diner
If old-fashioned Southern cookery is what you crave, this humble-yet-friendly dining room on the outskirts of Pendleton serves up just that. The servers smile and "Hey, y'all" frequently, and though regulars do get special treatment, new customers receive first class care as well. Food is doled out cafeteria-style, and, oh, what good food it is — homemade mac-n-cheese, tomatoes-n-okra, fried chicken, green beans, and so on. They serve up some awesome breakfast eats, as well; if you're up early, give Dyar's a shot then, too. (864-646-7880)
