Greenville residents and zoo-loving visitors were all atwitter on the eve of the final presidential debate but it wasn't politics they were discussing. A mother giraffe named Autumn was about to give birth, via live webcam, and everyone was watching. The tweets and facebook posts picked up in intensity during the debate's final half-hour, and the baby - large by most animal standards - was born just before midnight.
Ticket sales will surely be brisk, as families pour in to see the Greenville Zoo's adorable new addition. As of this writing, the sex of the new baby had not yet been determined.
