About Barcelona Nightlife
Vibrant by day and even more so after dark, Barcelona’ s long been renowned for its thriving nightlife. Classy bars, rustic tapas joints and underground after parties provide for hours of authentic, Spanish amusement. But if you had to describe Barcelona’s nightlife in two words, it would be ‘randomly eclectic’. It’s a city where the best-laid plan, is not to have one at all, as the most exciting nights are those where you find yourself stumbling from bar to bar in any given neighborhood, bumping into friends and in typical Spanish fashion, going with the flow and taking everything in stride.
And there are few cities that lend themselves to this type of evening as well as Barcelona does. With so many narrow walkways, hidden streets and medieval alleyways and courtyards, all within close proximity and stacked with trendy, lively places to enjoy a few copas de vino tinto, it’s incredibly easy to find yourself enjoying the sunrise on the beach while having no recollection as to where you’ve just spent the past 10 hours.
A few notable night clubs include: Café Royale, City Hall, Magic and Apolo.
