This bridge was first erected in 1890 to connect downtown Chattanooga with the neighborhoods on the North Shore. The bridge fell into disrepair but has been refurbished and converted into a pedestrian walkway — the longest in the world at a length of ½ mile. Stroll the bridge on a clear day and you can see Coolidge Park and the Tennessee Aquarium.
