Other Recommended Restaurants: Coletta's, a Memphis institution since 1923, is the "Home of the BBQ pizza" and was a favorite haunt of the Elvis's posse - the Memphis Mafia. At the South Parkway location, not far from the mansion, Elvis and the gang held court at the large table in the center room (now, of course, the "Elvis room", decorated with photos and memorabilia) enjoying the homemade Italian food. Their order always included at least one of Coletta's signature BBQ pies. According to Jerry Coletta, Priscilla often called in to-go orders and dispatched one of the fellows to bring the goodies back to Graceland. The pizza is excellent, as are the pastas. And the lounge, still sporting decor from the Elvis era, is a pretty cool place for a drink.
